BlizzCon 2017
For BlizzCon this year, I wanted to make my first real cosplay for a convention, and I absolutely fell in love with Mercy’s Witch skin from Overwatch Halloween Terror in 2016. I had only sewn one costume myself before this, and I had never edited patterns, worked with 3D prints or resin or crafted with foam, so it was really challenging for me. The whole project took the better part of 9 months, with the finishing and assembling of the 3D printed staff being the most time-consuming part.
Mercy’s staff was modeled by Obsydiann and printed by Habiteer Workshop. The hat and shoe buckles were modeled and printed by Pinion Plus. The wings were based on patterns by Stella Chuu and C’est La Sara. I did the assembly and painting of all 3D elements myself, and all the other prop elements were designed and made by me!
